Hear it first
There is no stage and no audience — only a room of people singing the same words, over and over, until something quieter than the singing takes over. Put this on loud. You will know inside a minute whether it is your kind of evening.

Before you come
Yes. Kirtan has no auditions and no wrong notes. The room carries the song — your voice simply joins it. Most people arrive quiet and leave hoarse.
No. Every line is called out first and sung back, over and over, until it is yours. Sanskrit, Hindi, Punjabi, Persian — you will be singing all of them by the end without having studied a single one.
It is devotional, not denominational. The verses come from Sanatan Dharma, Sufism, Bhakti, Zen, Advait, Christianity and Buddhism, sung side by side. You need no belief to be welcome — only a willingness to sing.
Wear whatever you can sit comfortably on the floor in, and move in. Cushioned floor seating throughout, with chairs available for anyone who needs one — just ask at the door.
EDIT: your children policy — e.g. "Children under 10 come free with an adult. Please book their seat anyway so we can count the room."
Come anyway. We seat latecomers quietly between songs. The singing runs until nine — you will not have missed it.
EDIT: your refund policy. Something clear and generous here measurably lifts bookings — e.g. "Transferable to a friend any time. Full refund up to 7 days before."
EDIT: your prasad / food note.
